This is a charming romance where the female protagonist is the one perusing the romance. While Melody wants Aodh to fall in love with her she also wants the best for him and those living in the Goblintown even if it will break her heart. Aodh meanwhile doesn’t want to fall in love but Melody’s determination and actions are slowly chipping away at how guarded he is trying to be.
I was not expecting the twist near the end but this is a romance so there is a Happily Ever After. This would be great for fantasy romance readers that don’t want a tone of spice but more focus on the emotions and I feel like fans of Elise Kova would enjoy this.
